Is there a guarantee that I will get the room I have booked?

Yes. Once you have received your booking confirmation with the contact details of your landlord, the room is reserved for you. Nevertheless, we recommend initiating email contact with the landlord, to exchange important information (planned arrival time, where to get the keys etc.).

Is the commission I pay refundable?

No, expo-rooms offers no cancellations and refunds. This helps us keep administrative costs low, which results in low prices. If you need to cancel your booking, please contact your landlord and find a solution with him. If you do so in time, your landlord can cancel your booking and re-open the calendar for a new customer. If your room was not available although shown as bookable (e.g. mistake of the landlord), we will refund your reservation fee asap.

What do I have to do after receiving the contact information?

Please contact your landlord and let them know when you will arrive. As most landlords will not be on the premises around the clock, it is necessary to agree a place and time to hand over the keys. Your landlord is local, they will be able to help with any specific questions (how to get to your apartment, what clothes to bring, any traffic issues and other recommendations). You should also ask whether your landlord accepts credit cards, as this is not to be taken for granted.
Making contact is also a sign of politeness and reliability.

How do I know that a landlord is reliable?

Almost 100 % of our landlords do a good job managing their calendars. Nevertheless, personal error can happen, so it is best to contact your landlord after booking to make sure they have seen your booking in their mailbox and have marked their calendars accordingly (in case of an external calendar).
We take customer satisfaction very seriously. Please contact us if a booking or reservation has not been honored.

What is included in the price?

All rates are per accommodation per night. At that price, you can bring as many people as the maximum occupancy (indicated in the search result and accommodation details).
Breakfast is not included in the price! If your landlord offers the option of providing breakfast, you will have to pay for it on a per person basis. Please inform your landlord about your wishes when you contact them after booking.
Any additional services, like pickup from the airport, parking etc. are not included in the price! Please inform your landlord in advance if you would like to use any additional services.
Cleaning costs are always included in the price!
All prices are end prices. There are no hidden costs, no surprises. You pay the rent indicated in the room profile plus the commission for expo-rooms, that’s it! If the landlord is an agency, their fees and commissions must be included in the rent. Additional fees after your booking are not allowed at expo-rooms.
Traveling with children:  If you have children traveling with you, there’s a simple rule: if a child is small enough to share a bed with a parent, the child doesn’t count as a person. If your child is too tall to share a bed, the safest bet is to select a room with 3 beds.

Can I re-use the address of a landlord?

Yes, of course, you can do that! expo-rooms is happy for you if you can make some extra savings! Please make sure your landlord blocks those dates for booking, in order to avoid double bookings.

How can I pay on expo-rooms?

When you book your room on expo-rooms, a reservation fee will be charged to your credit card / Paypal account. The total amount for your stay has to be paid directly to the landlord and is not collected by expo-rooms. Your landlord has indicated in the room profile which payment methods are accepted.

How many persons are included in the room rate?

The maximum occupancy is indicated in the room profile. If it is indicated as “3”, three people or less can be accommodated. The room rate is per night and per accommodation, not per person. So you pay the same price, no matter whether you occupy the property alone or with 1 resp. 2 companions.
You are not allowed to exceed the indicated maximum occupancy.

How much does it cost?

As a guest, you will pay a reservation fee to expo-rooms (as part of the booking process) and the room rate to the Landlord.
